The Demarche Alliance Inc (DMA). Founded in 2006, the Demarche Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on increasing the presence of minority and disadvantaged businesses in the transportation industry and raising awareness of transportation related issues involving minority communities.  The Alliance’s services center on the three key pillars-- advocacy, business development and research. These three pillars are keys to enabling minority-owned businesses the ability to capitalize on business opportunities in the transportation and logistics field. In addition, DMA empowers communities by increasing access to information and encouraging business partnerships within an industry that is vital to nation’s economic growth and development.

The core mission is to ensure that the transportation factors that impact minority and low income communities are minimized through practical applications of public outreach. DMA core values are:

  • Connecting minority owned transportation businesses with other potential business opportunities
  • Preparing traditionally disadvantage persons and business for potential employment opportunities
  • Involving minority communities in the transportation planning process
  • Researching environmental justice issues in the transportation field
  • Establishing relationships with community groups, government organizations and industry
